Wanna get the lowdown on the coolest and quirkiest bands the downtown Phoenix music scene has to offer? Look no further than the Ruby Room, an artfully swanky watering hole run by the same folks behind bygone dive Emerald Lounge. Located just south of downtown Phoenix, the Ruby’s walls are adorned with tastefully chic velvet nudes, while its tiny stage hosts such hipster faves as Fatigo, Minibosses, Lonna Kelley, and Sonorous during shows on weekends and throughout the week. Scenester DJs like mig50 and Djentrification will also work the record decks from time to time, using their diverse record collections to paint the joint with an eclectic wall of sound.
